The day is dedicated to exploring the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Depart from the lodge and reach the Ngorongoro Conservation Area within 15 minutes, followed by a 45-minute descent into the crater along a steep and scenic road offering breathtaking views of the lush landscape.
At the crater floor, the first wildlife encounters begin with buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and gazelles. The safari unfolds across the 300 km² basin, with excellent opportunities to spot the Big Five—lions, rhinos, elephants, buffalo, and leopards.
Enjoy a picnic lunch near a small lake before continuing the safari in the afternoon. The diverse ecosystem of the crater includes forests, open plains, and swamps, offering a variety of wildlife in stunning surroundings.
In the late afternoon, ascend the crater and continue toward camp. Upon arrival, attend a briefing and tent allocation before setting out on a one-hour walk to the summit of the “Kopjes,” where you can take in a spectacular sunset over the Serengeti plains.
Arrive to camp at night for dinner and an overnight stay, a luxury tented camp with stunning views of the Serengeti plains.
